Why HumanGPT

Sounds like you. Says what you meant.

Most AI drafts give themselves away with the same stock words and the same rhythm. HumanGPT edits those habits out and leaves your content alone.

  • Sounds like you

Natural rhythm and plain words, with no "delve" and no "in today's fast-paced world". Pick a tone and a text type, or let it follow a sample of your own writing.

  • Keeps your meaning

Facts, names, numbers and citations stay as you wrote them. After every rewrite, a second check compares it with your original, corrects anything that changed and lists anything still missing.

  • Check before you send

A built-in AI-likeness estimate rates every sentence. You see which lines still read like a template, and you can rewrite just those.

  • Start anywhere, pick up later

Paste text, scan a page or bring in a Google Doc, PDF or Word file. Every result is saved as a document in your account, ready when you come back.

How it works

From draft to done in four steps

Checking a text costs no words, so you can see where a draft stands before you change anything.

  1. Paste or import

Type or paste your draft, scan a page or open a link to a Google Doc or web page. On Pro you can also import PDF and Word files.

  2. Check the estimate

See the AI-likeness estimate for the whole text and a color for every sentence, so you know which parts need work.

  3. Humanize

Choose a tone, a text type and how much to change. The button shows how many words the run uses and how many you have left.

  4. Review and send

A word-by-word diff marks every edit. Copy the result, share it or export it as a Word file, a PDF or plain text.

Features

Everything you need to finish the draft

One editor for checking, rewriting and sending, with a clear record of what changed.

  • AI-likeness estimate with sentence highlights

Each sentence gets a color from green to red, and the whole text gets a score from 0 to 100. The estimate combines a check for known AI writing patterns with a rating from an AI model.

It shows how much a text follows AI habits. It can't prove who wrote something, and we always call it an estimate.

  • Facts and citations stay put

After each rewrite the app compares numbers, names, quotes and citations such as (Smith, 2021) or [12] with your original. A fact-check pass corrects anything that changed, and anything still missing is listed.

    • 4 numbers, 2 citations and 1 quote kept
  • Tones and text types

Tell it what you're writing and how it should sound. A light, balanced or strong setting decides how far the rewrite may move from your draft, and the result stays in the language you wrote in.

Copy the result, send it to another app or save it as a Word document, a PDF or plain text. Paragraphs, lists and headings come through intact.

What it fixes

26 habits that make writing sound generated

The rewrite works from a checklist based on Wikipedia's guide to signs of AI writing, grouped by the habit behind each one. It fixes the strongest first and leaves alone anything that's fine in context.

Staging instead of stating

  1. Not X but Y
  2. One-line closers and dramatic fragments
  3. Sayings that sound deep
  4. Staged run-up before the point
  5. Arguing with no one

Rhythm by rule

  1. Forced groups of three
  2. Repeated sentence openings
  3. Dashes as the universal connector
  4. Stacked qualifiers
  5. Hyphenated pairs everywhere
  6. Passive voice and missing subjects

Inflation and borrowed authority

  1. Overused AI words
  2. Inflated significance
  3. Vague connection or association
  4. Shallow -ing add-ons
  5. Sales language
  6. Borrowed authority
  7. Avoiding is, are and has

Formatting by rule

  1. Bold as decoration
  2. Decorative headings
  3. Curly quotation marks

Leftovers from the chat

  1. Chatbot residue
  2. Knowledge-limit disclaimers and guesses
  3. A heading repeated in the first sentence
  4. Writing about the document instead of its subject

Writing for the wrong reader

  1. Re-explaining what the reader knows

The checklist is adapted from the open-source humanizer skill by Siqi Chen (MIT License) and Wikipedia's Signs of AI writing, maintained by WikiProject AI Cleanup.

Use it on your own work

Follow the rules of your school or workplace.

HumanGPT is a writing tool for drafts that are yours, including drafts you wrote with AI help where that's allowed. If your school or employer asks you to disclose AI help, disclose it.

The app changes how a text reads. It doesn't make copied work original, and no tool can promise how a teacher, an editor or a piece of software will judge your writing.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Something else on your mind? The support page covers imports, errors and billing, or you can email evolutiongamesapps@gmail.com.

Is HumanGPT free?

Yes, you can start without paying. Your first humanize run is free, and after that you get 300 words every day, up to 300 words per run. Pro adds more words, longer runs, sentence rewrites, PDF and Word import and voice matching.

What is the AI-likeness estimate?

A score from 0 to 100 that rates how strongly a text follows patterns common in AI-generated writing, plus a color for each sentence. It combines a check for known patterns with a rating from an AI model. It's an estimate: it can't prove who wrote a text, and other tools may score the same text differently.

Can you promise my text won't be flagged?

No, and no honest tool can. HumanGPT helps your writing sound natural and like you, and the estimate shows how it reads. How a teacher, an editor or a detection tool judges a text is up to them.

Will it change my facts, names or citations?

It's built not to. The rewrite is told to keep every fact, name, number, quote, citation and link. Afterwards the app compares the rewrite with your original. If something changed, a second AI pass corrects it, and anything still missing is listed so you can put it back.

Which languages does it support?

The app is available in English, German, Spanish and French. You can humanize text in other languages too, and the rewrite stays in the language you wrote in. English gets the most thorough edit, because the pattern checklist was written for English.

What counts as a word?

Any run of characters between spaces that contains at least one letter or digit, so a lone dash or bullet is free. A run costs the words you send in, whatever the length of the rewrite. Checking the AI-likeness estimate doesn't use any words.

What happens to my text?

It goes to our backend in the EU and to Replicate, our AI processing provider, which runs Anthropic's Claude models. They use it only to produce your result. Documents you save sync to your account and are deleted as soon as you delete them. We keep a copy of each rewrite result for 30 days for retries and abuse prevention. There are no ads, and we don't sell your data. The privacy policy has the details.

Do I need an account?

No. The app sets up an anonymous account the first time you open it. If you want your documents on another iPhone or after reinstalling, sign in with Apple or Google in Settings. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings at any time.

How does the free trial work?

The weekly Pro plan starts with 3 free days for eligible new subscribers. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it becomes a paid weekly subscription at $5.99 a week (US price). The yearly plan has no trial.

How do I cancel Pro?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose HumanGPT. You can also get there from Manage subscription in the app's Settings. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. The support page covers refunds and restoring purchases.

Can I use it for school?

That depends on your school. Some allow AI help, some ask you to disclose it and some forbid it. Follow the rules of your school or workplace. HumanGPT works best on drafts that are already yours.

Is there a web or Android version?

Not yet. HumanGPT is available for iPhone. We're planning a web editor that uses the same account and documents.
