HumanGPT alternatives and comparisons 10 AI writing tools, compared on the same points
HumanGPT is an iPhone app that rewrites AI drafts so they sound like you, checks that facts, numbers and citations come through, and shows an AI-likeness estimate for every sentence. If it isn't the right tool for your job, one of these ten might be. Every claim about another tool on this page links to a source.
The short answer
HumanGPT does one job: humanizing AI drafts on iPhone. For other jobs, or other devices, another tool may fit better.
HumanGPT fits if…
- You write on an iPhone and start from photos, scans, Google Docs or web links.
- You want facts, numbers and citations checked after each rewrite.
- You want to set tone, strength and text type, and match your own voice on Pro.
- You'd like a free daily allowance: 300 words a day after a free demo rewrite.
Another tool may fit better if…
- You need a browser, Windows or Android app today. Every other tool here works in a browser; HumanGPT is iPhone only for now.
- You mainly need an AI detector. ZeroGPT and GPTZero are built around detection.385
- You want grammar and writing help across apps and devices. QuillBot and Grammarly cover more writing jobs.128
- You want long rewrites for free. Clever AI Humanizer is free, with up to 3,000 words per request.3

How we compare tools
We make HumanGPT, so we hold these pages to rules you can check for yourself.
-
Sources you can open
Every claim about another tool comes from its own public pages: pricing, help center, terms, privacy policy or App Store listing. Each claim links to its source, and we last checked all of them in October 2026.
-
The same eleven points
Platforms, free plan, pricing, word limits, rewriting approach, AI detection, facts and citations, import and export, languages, privacy, and notable claims.
-
Their claims, in their words
When a provider makes accuracy or detector claims, we quote them as its claims and say we haven't tested them. We don't publish detector scores, because one sample can't fairly represent a tool.
-
Where they're stronger
Every comparison has a section on what the other tool does better. If we couldn't verify something, we left it out.
-
Prices as shown
We list prices as each site showed them when we checked, before tax. Some sites showed euro prices to our location in Europe, and we say so next to those prices.

Questions about HumanGPT alternatives
Which HumanGPT alternative should I pick?
It depends on the job. For an AI detector in a browser, ZeroGPT and GPTZero are built around detection. For a writing assistant that also checks grammar, on more devices, look at QuillBot or Grammarly. For a humanizer in a desktop browser, Undetectable AI, StealthGPT, WriteHuman, Walter Writes AI, BypassGPT and Clever AI Humanizer all run on the web. HumanGPT fits if you write on an iPhone and want facts, numbers and citations checked after each rewrite.
Is there a free alternative to HumanGPT?
Yes. Clever AI Humanizer is free, with up to 3,000 words per request, and its site says that is subject to service availability. ZeroGPT, GPTZero, QuillBot, Grammarly, Undetectable AI, WriteHuman and BypassGPT have free plans with limits (GPTZero's covers AI scans only), and Walter Writes AI has a one-time 300-word trial. HumanGPT is free for 300 words a day after a free demo rewrite.
Can any of these tools promise that a detector won't flag my text?
No. Some providers make claims about AI detectors in their marketing, and we haven't tested those claims. No tool can promise how a detector, a teacher or an editor will judge a text, and HumanGPT doesn't try to. Its AI-likeness score is an estimate, not a verdict. Follow the rules of your school or workplace.
How do you keep these comparisons fair when you make HumanGPT?
Every claim about another tool comes from that tool's own public pages, such as its pricing page, help center, terms or App Store listing, and links to the source. We checked them in October 2026. We quote marketing claims as the provider's own words and don't publish detector scores. Each comparison also has a section on where the other tool is stronger. If something is wrong or out of date, tell us through the support page and we'll correct it.
Does HumanGPT work in a browser or on Android?
Not yet. HumanGPT is an iPhone app for iOS 17 or later. A web editor is planned but not live yet, and there's no Android app. Every other tool compared here works in a browser, so if you need one today, it may suit you better.
